Pierre Ferraud Fleurie 'Le Reposoir' 2014
The vineyards of this denomination are located on two hillsides, one next to Chiroubles and the other next to Moulin à vent, which is important for the typical identity of this wine. It is often considered as the most « feminine » Beaujolais wine, maybe because the Madonna de Fleurie, on the hilltop, watches over the vines. It is usually women's favourite wine. For the past 20 years, Maison Ferraud has been in charge of the selection for "Le Reposoir". The selection is done on wines from the hillside next to Chiroubles.
EYE: This wine has an intense carmine red colour.
NOSE: The Fleurie offers a wide range of fruity and floral aromas: iris, violet, rose, red fruits, vineyard peach.
MOUTH: On the palate, this wine is elegant and delicate, usually considered as 'feminine'. When it reaches maturity, the wine develops spicy hints.
