Description

Like all wines of Cornas, Paul Jaboulet-Aine's Les Grandes Terrasses is made from 100% Syrah. It gets its name from the steep vineyard terraces of the surrounding region.

Warm baking spices are framed by lovely red and black fruit aromas, with just a hint of liquorice and black pepper. The wine has a savoury element, a certain gaminess that warrants another taste. This elegant Cornas, has ripe, firm tannins and is an exemplary example of Northern Rhone Syrah.

Tasting Notes


EYE:
This classic Syrah is a rich, dark ruby with tinges of violet.
NOSE:
The nose is complex, with ripe black and red berries, dried herbs, black pepper and allspice, nutmeg and vanilla imparted to the wine by time spent in French oak.
MOUTH:
Les Grandes Terrasses is well-balanced, with ripe, firm tannins, elegant minerality and a generous body.
