Description

The charming wine of Château Pichon-Longueville Baron, is a red Pauillac, Apellation d’Origine Contrôllée, made of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes.
Created in 1986, the harvest is manual with a double method of sorting the best grapes. The vinification process takes place in small lots, for best results.
Ageing is conducted in oak barrels for 15 months and the production around 140 000 bottles per year

Tasting Notes


EYE:
A gorgeous purple when the wine is young, towards black color. With ageing, it takes on a soft grenat color.
NOSE:
A strong, complex, and concentrated wine, with aromas of red fruits such as plum, spices and wooden aromas.
MOUTH:
. A solid and powerful wine, with softer tannins as it ages, and a delicacy of aromatics which is characteristic of Pauillac wines.
