Description

The Guigal Estate vinifiies and produces the wines from the Northern region of Côtes du Rhône, called Côte Rotie.
The Côte Rotie vineyard covers more than 200 hectares, and Château d’Ampuis is one of the best sites the Guigal family owns in Côte Rotie. All production is aged for 38 months in French oak barrels. The grapes come usually from 7 different terroirs, and from vines planted in the 16th Century. This particular vintage is very well scored by critics, despite the 2008 year being difficult, incorporates only 5 types of grapes.
