Description

The Guigal Châteauneuf du Pape Red, vintage 2010, is made of 70% of Grenache, 20% of Syrah and 10% of Mourvedre. It spent two years ageing in oak barrels before bottling, and the annual production is around 200 000 bottles. The average age of the vines is 45 year-old and they grow on pebble & red clay soils.

A very rich, textured medium-bodied Chateauneuf du Pape, from the Guigal Estate: a great wine to consume now, or keep in one’s cellar for up to ten years.

EYE:
This chateauneuf du Pape has a deep dark red robe
NOSE:
spices and mature red fruits notes.
MOUTH:
A complex unctuous wine, with round tannins. emerging on the finish, and notes of mature plums on the palate, as well as hazelnuts and red fruits.
