Charles Heidsieck champagne is one of the most recognised by the profession. The awards belong to the cellar masters who, over the course of the past two decades, have been named Sparkling Winemaker of the Year thirteen times in the International Wine Challenge (IWC).
The champagnes have been awarded 11 Grand Or medals, 101 Gold medals (37 between 2008 and 2011), 25 Silver medals and some 32 trophies. The iconic Brut Réserve cuvée was crowned Wine of the Year by the 2012 Bettane and Desseauve guide.
In November 2012, in the Wine Spectator magazine, the Brut Réserve and Rosé Réserve scored 93 points, the Brut Millésime 2000 and the Rosé Millésime 1999 scored 94 points, and the Blanc des Millénaires 1995 scored 96 points.

Tasting Notes

Deep golden robe. The delicate vivacious and long lasting bubbles are the result of more than 36 months of ageing in chalks cellars
With 40% of reserve wines (the maximum possible amount), the blend offers a complex voluptuous nose with nose and the richness of roasted coffee beans.
A precise selection of wines, purposely limited to 60 crus, ensures Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve a deliciously sophisticated harmony.
An opulent selection of ripe, sun-drenched fruits such as mango, apricot, greengage plum combined with fruits, pistachio and almond.
The texture is reminiscent of a crisp layer of nougatine on a velvety cream pastry filled with plump red plums and ripe cherries.
The reserve wines, some dating back 10 years, give the wine lushness. The depth of the thousand year old chalks quarries where the wine matures offers a touch of praline along with notes of amber and vanilla.
