The Billecart-Salmon Extra-Brut is a champagne conceived with all the excellence and traditions of this champagne house and the total absence of dosage. No sugars are added in the making of this cuvee.
It’s a champagne of great purity; elegant and forthright, with superb mineral tension, which combines the three traditional grape varieties of champagne – Pinot Meunier (40%), Pinot Noir (35%) and Chardonnay (25%).
The Billecart-Salmon Extra-Brut presents a robe of shimmering pale gold with a plethora of fine bubbles.
Complexity defines the nose, with notes of white flowers turning to richer aromas of dried fruit and brioche with a hint of citrus in the background.
Full bodied, with tense minerality, this cuvee develops flavors of cake and white fruits (apple, pear), with a clean, balanced, lingering finish.
