Alain Jaume Cotes de Rhone, Reserve Grand Veneur 2015
This Côtes du Rhône is grown on a limestone terrace soil, with sand and red clay, which gives the wines richness and complexity, as well as a Mediterranean character. Grapes type is based on Black Grenache and Shiraz, and the wine is bottled a year after being harvested.
This is a great wine for everyday use, lunch, to be served at 17 degrees, and kept up to 4 years. It matches well local Singaporean dishes, such as lamb curries, or beef noodles.
EYE: Strong garnet color, with some purple tinted reflections.
NOSE: This wine offers aromas of wild red fresh berry fruits, such as wild strawberry, or blueberries, to spices.
MOUTH: It has a rich full body and deepness with silky smooth tannins, and a finish on black pepper, liquorice, and all the Mediterranean countryside aromas.
