Description

This wine is produced on the extreme north part of Châteauneuf du Pape, on a soil with a high quantity of red clay and pebbles-, which is often described as the best area to produce powerful red wines.

Vieilles Vignes is produced on the oldest part of the domain, with the oldest vineyards (105 years old), where roots have grown stronger thanks to the biological viticulture process. Grapes are very concentrated, and produce a small quantity, with elegance.
The grapes type are 50% of Black Grenache, 10% of Shiraz and 40% of Mourvèdre.
All grapes are hand picked and checked, the ageing process takes 16 months, with 60% in new oak barrels.
