Description

Most recent in a line of non-vintage blends from chardonnay grapes, this harmonious and deliberately seducing Blanc de Blancs will bewitch you. Its striking golden luminosity is further enhanced by the clear glass bottle, a replica from an 18th Century model.

Ruinart Blanc de Blancs presents a pale golden yellow color with beautiful luminosity and striking brilliance.

The nose is very intense. On the palate, the wine is very supple, round and harmonious, with rich notes of brioche, honey, and crispiness on the long, sustained finish.

Ruinart Blanc de Blancs releases its harmonious and delicate freshness when it is drunk cold, around 8 to 9 degrees.

        Description

The Brut Rosé by Billecart-Salmon is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir white juice and Pinot Noir red juice.

The Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé is pale pink taking on warm gold hues, and its delicate and slowly ascending bubbles create a long-lasting mousse. The subtle nose reveals an elegant bouquet of very refined red fruit notes.

The particular method used to make this champagne results in a lightness of touch, an elegance on the palate and a superbly refreshing final.

Strongly anchored in tradition, such as the use of barrels for the grand crus, Billecart-Salmon age their bottles in an extended network of caves cut out of the chalk hills, dating from the 17th and 19th century.

The constant temperature – around 12°, enables a very fine effervescence to develop. The Brut Rosé from Billecart-Salmon is a champagne to fall in love with, a summer champagne, much appreciated by female palates for its balance and delicacy.

The “trade secrets” and the winemaking methods go way back to the origins of the establishment, and have been passed down through seven generations.

                                        Description
Pol Roger Brut Vintage is produced in limited quantities using the traditional House blend from twenty Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. Second fermentation takes place in the coolest Pol Roger cellars, thirty-three metres below ground level at temperatures of just 9°C, some 2-3°C cooler than the cellars of other producers. The cooler cellars slow down bottle fermentation, producing a champagne with finer bubbles, a characteristic for which these small production releases of Pol Roger are known for. The final blend is aged for nine years in the cellars before disgorgment and release.

Weather: The 2006 vintage was a year of mixed weather. It began with a rainy spell and late spring, but with little or no frost in the vineyards. Early summer was positive, with the months of June and July creating perfect conditions for flowering. Although there were some storms in late-July, the overall health of the vines was great since the weather remained hot through to the harvest with spells of rain in August promoting even healthier grapes.

Tasting Note: The nose shows expressions of apple and dried fruits. The well-balanced structure on the palate boasts sumptuous almond nuttiness balanced with citrus freshness. This is a wonderfully fruit-forward expression of a warm vintage.

                                              Description

Brut Rosé from Veuve Clicquot is a blend of 50 to 60 different Crus. Its structure is based on the traditional style of the Carte Jaune Brut, the reference in Veuve Clicquot champagne. It comprises 50 to 55% Pinot Noir, 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier, and 28 to 33% Chardonnay, and a significant amount of reserve wine (25 to 35%) from several harvests (5 to 6 on average) which gives this champagne its personality.

The blend is completed by 12% red wine from different Champagne Crus, giving this cuvee its soft pink color.

The nose reveals a generous, refined champagne, with the presence of raspberry, wild strawberry and cherry aromas, evolving to notes of almond, dried apricot and biscuit.

On the palate Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé is fresh and fruity with superb harmony and balance.

This is a seductive champagne which offers pleasure, freshness and youth; ideal for sharing.

The Blanc de Blancs from Billecart-Salmon is devised from Chardonnay selected from each of the five Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs : Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger, and is the result of blending two different vintages. It is the pure expression of all the specificities of Chardonnay.

Strongly anchored in tradition, such as the use of barrels for the grand crus, Billecart-Salmon age their bottles in an extended network of caves cut out of the chalk hills, dating from the 17th and 19th century. Billecart-Salmon Blanc de Blancs presents a fine mousse with very delicate bubbles which complement the golden hues of the robe.

The nose surprises with its aromas of almond mingled with white fleshed fruits.

The palate is complex and powerful with an agreeable vinosity. The final is fresh and elegant.

                                                          Description

Within the family of Deutz cuvées, the Brut 2012 with this fantastic vintage has an upright character that is both powerful and elegant.

The colour is bright and the bubbles are persistant. The entry is clear-cut and stylish on the palate, then showing flavours of fruit, flowers, spices and mild tabacco. It is well built and beautifully balanced.

Not to be missed for its lively, richness and thoroughbred character. A masterpiece of purity, the Brut 2012 has a great aging potential.

The Grande Réserve from the Gosset champagne house is the epitome of Gosset style. A marriage of 46% Chardonnay, and 54% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier of which 12 % are reserve wines (average age 2 years), this champagne has a big personality and superb harmony.

It’s a powerful champagne of character, supple and well-balanced, with no complexes about asserting its high spirited, harmonious personality.

The Gosset Grande Réserve boasts a light golden robe, enhanced by a fine chain of light-as-air bubbles.

The nose is intense and complex revealing a symphony of flowers (daffodil, lime blossom) and fruits (cherry, blackberry) against a background of roasted notes.

The palate is full, vinous, concentrated, with aromas of dried fig and cherry jam quickly followed by grilled almond and crispy bread. The final is long and imposing.

Grapes from the vineyard of Vrigny, from the only plot 'Les Coteaux de Vallier'', The Chardonnay is raised in oak barrels on lees for 18 months.

Nose opens on straight grilled notes, vanilla and brioche. On the palate there are powerful flavours, lightly wooded, dominated with freshness and fruity notes, such as apricot, peach and candied fruit. Ten years of patient ageing in our cellars give a wine of complexity and quality.

What you’ll find at this family “grower” house is truly vinous Champagne, wines striking in their concentration and complexity. Winemaker Francis Egly’s practice of harvesting very ripe grapes and aging his wines in barrel for years are some of the technical decisions that set his art apart from the rest; yet it is the results that captivate. Egly- Ouriet Champagne is age-worthy, sumptuous and at times surreal; these wines are unquestionably the pinnacle of Pinot Noir-based Champagne.

2007 was not the most straightforward vintage, but like all vintages, it was marked by certain key events. A surprisingly mild winter and an exceptionally warm winter made for an early and promising start to the growing season.
However, the growth was hindered by a cold rainy August, following a sunny weather leading to a rise in temperature and the grapes were fast-tracked to ripeness.
Harvest began as early as August 30th for Chardonnay, Grands Crus delivering impeccable fruit with a fine balance of acidity and potential alcohol.

This wine will continue to develop and refine its charms way into the future – way beyond 2030 without a doubt.
