Most recent in a line of non-vintage blends from chardonnay grapes, this harmonious and deliberately seducing Blanc de Blancs will bewitch you. Its striking golden luminosity is further enhanced by the clear glass bottle, a replica from an 18th Century model.

Ruinart Blanc de Blancs presents a pale golden yellow color with beautiful luminosity and striking brilliance.

The nose is very intense. On the palate, the wine is very supple, round and harmonious, with rich notes of brioche, honey, and crispiness on the long, sustained finish.

        Description

The Grand Brut from Perrier-Jouët is the classic cuvee of this house founded in 1811 and which is one of the best known in the world thanks to the famous Art Nouveau design of white anemones and enameled roses circled with gold that has become the emblem of Perrier-Jouët.

This champagne is made with a large proportion of Pinot Meunier, which results in an elegant, refined wine. The quality of the Grand Brut is constant, showing great finesse and exceptional length.

The Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut is brilliant gold in color, with a fine chain of persistent bubbles.

The nose is extremely expressive with white flowers (acacia, hawthorn), pear, grapefruit, white peach and fresh cut grass.

It is a very well-balanced champagne, vivacious and round with good fruit characters on the palate of apple, pineapple and citrus (pink grapefruit and mandarin).

Notes of brioche appear on the final of exceptional length.

              Description

2006 was climatically irregular and, taken as a whole, hot and dry.

The cellar-based ripening of the 2006 vintage was very slow. For a long time, the wine was largely dominated solely by the fruit's ripeness. It was not until 2015 that the comprehensiveness and harmony of its first plénitude was finally revealed.

Dom Pérignon 2006 is superlative, luminous and glorious. Its original generosity - ample and tactile - is enhanced by a clear structure that gives it freshness and precision.

              ON THE NOSE

The immediate impression is of the mildness of the pure, airy, bright bouquet. A floral, fruity pastel tone then unfolds and quickly darkens into candied fruit, ripe hay and toasted notes, along with hints of licorice.

              ON THE PALATE

The wine’s opulence – contained and succulent, round at heart – reveals itself on the palate. The envelope slides and stretches, and the wine becomes more complex and edgy, silkier than it is creamy. The whole eventually melts into an exquisite bitterness tinged with the briny taste of the sea.

              FOOD PAIRING

Sicilian olive oil embraces the incomparable sensual note of Dom Pérignon. When the wine makes contact with this low acidity, brilliance, and unctuous substance, it reveals Dom Pérignon Vintage 2006's silky curves, seamless voluptuousness and creaminess, brightened by vegetal notes.

                      Description

The Brut Réserve from the Billecart-Salmon champagne house was elected «Best Brut in the World» by the famous publication ‘Decanter’.

The Billecart-Salmon Brut Réserve is a champagne which is round, harmonious and well-balanced.

The blend, the formula of which has remained unchanged since 1945, is made up of grapes from three different vintages and three varieties; Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, all from the best terroirs of the Marne.

Strongly anchored in tradition, such as the use of barrels for the grand crus, Billecart-Salmon age their bottles in an extended network of caves cut out of the chalk hills, dating from the 17th and 19th century. The constant temperature – around 12°, enables a very fine effervescence to develop.

The Billicart-Salmon Brut Reserve offers a robe of gleaming straw yellow enhanced by the finesse of its gently rising bubbles and its persistent mousse.

The nose reveals good maturity coupled with a flowery freshness, and aromas of pear and blackberry.

The attack is frank and mouth filling, followed by freshness and a richness endowed by an ageing in traditional cellars.

The Brut Rosé by Billecart-Salmon is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir white juice and Pinot Noir red juice.

The Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé is pale pink taking on warm gold hues, and its delicate and slowly ascending bubbles create a long-lasting mousse. The subtle nose reveals an elegant bouquet of very refined red fruit notes.

The particular method used to make this champagne results in a lightness of touch, an elegance on the palate and a superbly refreshing final.

Strongly anchored in tradition, such as the use of barrels for the grand crus, Billecart-Salmon age their bottles in an extended network of caves cut out of the chalk hills, dating from the 17th and 19th century.

The “trade secrets” and the winemaking methods go way back to the origins of the establishment, and have been passed down through seven generations.

Ruinart Rosé NV is a Pinot Noir dominant blend using grapes sourced from Premiers Crus only and 20-25% reserve wines from the previous two years. The Pinot Noir originates from vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne and the Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and uniquely, Montagne de Reims. Nearly 20% of the Pinot Noir is fermented separately to produce red wine which is subsequently added back to the blend before second fermentation.

The Deutz Brut Classic is the very soul of the Deutz champagne house. Born of a blend of several years’ grape harvests, every year a variable proportion of reserve wine (between 20 and 40%) is incorporated to ensure the regularity, complexity and individuality of the Deutz style. It’s composed of one third Pinot Noir, one third Chardonnay and one third Pinot Meunier, and derives its harmony from the quality of the grapes (97% on the scale of growths), and careful parcel selection (between 20 and 30 all from the Marne area).

Deutz Brut Classic is brilliant gold in color with fine bubbles. With an expressive nose, it opens with floral notes (hawthorn, white blossom) developing toasted notes with almond paste and very ripe fruits (apple, pear).

The palate of the Deutz Brut Classic is elegant, with the brightness of the Chardonnay combining with the velvetiness of the Pinot to offer a silky texture and harmonious aromas finishing with persistent fruit notes.

                                                    Description

A predominance of Pinot Noir provides the structure that is so typically Clicquot, while a touch of Meunier rounds out the blend and Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse essential in a perfectly balanced wine. Grapes from as many as 50 to 60 different Crus go into the blending of Yellow Label. Traditionally, the proportion of each grape variety used is 50 to 55% Pinot Noir, 28 to 33% Chardonnay and 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier. The reserve wine content of each new release varies depending on the quality of the latest vintage. Chef de Caves Demarville uses as much as 25 to 40% reserve wines to ensure the continuity of the House style.

Moët & Chandon Impérial NV is the world's most popular champagne: a guaranteed classic produced in astonishing numbers with remarkable consistency year upon year, batch upon batch. Production reached such a immense volume, the House had to invest in a new state-of-the-art winery designed solely for Moët Impérial NV. The most automated cellar in the region uses super modern equipment and winemaking innovations not seen anywhere else in the world. First introduced in the 1860s, Brut Impérial NV is an assemblage of over two hundred crus with around 20-30% carefully selected reserve wines added to complete the prestige blend.

A blend of all three grape varieties from thirty still base wines, White Foil is an often an assemblage of three or four different vintages. The Pinot Noir contributes body, depth of character and life-extending tannins and comes from the villages of the Montagne de Reims; the Chardonnay provides the lightness, elegance and finesse and is drawn from Épernay itself and the villages of the Côte des Blancs; and the Pinot Meunier supplies youthful freshness, vigour and plump character with the grapes coming from the Vallée d'Epernay. The bottle code indicates packaging date: the first digit denotes the year and the next three digits the day of that year.

New Packaging and updated style of champagne is due entirely by the addition at Veuve Clicquot of cellar master Dominique Demarville. A clearfocus on the use of Oak and the malo fermentation delivering creaminess and layers of flavour, The balance of acid is also the underlying bones which is encouraging for the house style to show length and persistence in many years to come.

The pale green-gold colour and fine mousse belie the power that begins to reveal itself on the nose and finally explodes in the mouth. The richness is balanced throughout with finesse and delicacy, a fine achievement for a quality chamapagne, conciously and purposely differing from the prior 2004 and 2002 vintages this wine will grow in bottle for years to come and surely reward.

                                                                      Characteristics

                                                                            Characteristics

Moët & Chandon Impérial NV is the world's most popular champagne: and Moët's Rosé Impérial NV ranks up there in the non-vintage rosé category. The most extrovert and seductive expression of the House style, Rosé Impérial is a Pinot Noir- and Pinot Meunier-dominant blend of over two hundred crus. The final assemblage contains 25% reserve wines and 8% red wine made using thermo-vinifcation; a method that gives colour and fruitiness to the wine.

Tasting Note: On the nose, this vivid pink champagne displays a fruity bouquet of red berries and cherries. On the palate, an initial sweetness of berries lends itself to a freshness of fruits. The finish is long with more red fruit flavour and hints of pink grapefruit. A very vinous rosé with a fruit-forward style.

Pol Roger Brut Vintage is produced in limited quantities using the traditional House blend from twenty Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. Second fermentation takes place in the coolest Pol Roger cellars, thirty-three metres below ground level at temperatures of just 9°C, some 2-3°C cooler than the cellars of other producers. The cooler cellars slow down bottle fermentation, producing a champagne with finer bubbles, a characteristic for which these small production releases of Pol Roger are known for. The final blend is aged for nine years in the cellars before disgorgment and release.

Weather: The 2006 vintage was a year of mixed weather. It began with a rainy spell and late spring, but with little or no frost in the vineyards. Early summer was positive, with the months of June and July creating perfect conditions for flowering. Although there were some storms in late-July, the overall health of the vines was great since the weather remained hot through to the harvest with spells of rain in August promoting even healthier grapes.

Tasting Note: The nose shows expressions of apple and dried fruits. The well-balanced structure on the palate boasts sumptuous almond nuttiness balanced with citrus freshness. This is a wonderfully fruit-forward expression of a warm vintage.

The prestige cuvée of Champagne Ruinart, Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is a Grand Cru only, pure-Chardonnay blend. With grapes sourced predominantly from the Côte des Blancs, this cuvée is a firm and muscular champagne with a reductive style that rewards patience if left in the cellar. The 2004 expression is much more restrained that its predecessors, with good balancing acidity and the lowest dosage yet. This lower dosage is all part of protecting the character and delicacy of the vintage by helping to inhibit oxidation.

Weather: The 2004 vintage saw an initial winter of mild temperatures with intermittent storms and hail. The spring and summer months were hot and sunny and the sugar levels late in September produced good quality fruits, especially for the Pinot Noir grapes. A huge harvest in general for the region. Overall many experts believe that 2004 is one of the greatest vintages of the last two decades.

Tasting Note: A luminous yellow with pale green reflections. The nose reveals gentle notes of chestnut, coconut and fresh bread. In the mouth there is a citrus fruit freshness and a delicate mousse with real, long lingering flavours that you'd expect from such a great champagne. Very accessible now in its youth, this is sure to evolve in complexity with time.

Its structure is based on the traditional style of the Carte Jaune Brut, the reference in Veuve Clicquot champagne. It comprises 50 to 55% Pinot Noir, 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier, and 28 to 33% Chardonnay, and a significant amount of reserve wine (25 to 35%) from several harvests (5 to 6 on average) which gives this champagne its personality.

The Blanc de Blancs from Delamotte is a masterful interpretation of the most noble terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, made from Chardonnay grown on the Grand Cru terroirs of Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Avize and Cramant.

The minerality in this Blanc de Blancs is derived from the chalky soils of the vineyards.

The nose is graceful, floral, mineral.

The palate opens with elegance and verve, beautifully ethereal, reflecting the same floral notes as found on the nose but with a supplementary touch of salinity.

The aromas of this Blanc de Blancs have been polished and rounded by 4 to 5 years in the Delamotte cellars.

Excellent for a summer aperitif or served with a plate of oysters or grilled fish.
