Description

The Grand Brut from Perrier-Jouët is the classic cuvee of this house founded in 1811 and which is one of the best known in the world thanks to the famous Art Nouveau design of white anemones and enameled roses circled with gold that has become the emblem of Perrier-Jouët.

This champagne is made with a large proportion of Pinot Meunier, which results in an elegant, refined wine. The quality of the Grand Brut is constant, showing great finesse and exceptional length.

The Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut is brilliant gold in color, with a fine chain of persistent bubbles.

The nose is extremely expressive with white flowers (acacia, hawthorn), pear, grapefruit, white peach and fresh cut grass.

It is a very well-balanced champagne, vivacious and round with good fruit characters on the palate of apple, pineapple and citrus (pink grapefruit and mandarin).

Notes of brioche appear on the final of exceptional length.

        Description

The Brut Réserve from the Billecart-Salmon champagne house was elected «Best Brut in the World» by the famous publication ‘Decanter’.

The Billecart-Salmon Brut Réserve is a champagne which is round, harmonious and well-balanced.

The blend, the formula of which has remained unchanged since 1945, is made up of grapes from three different vintages and three varieties; Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, all from the best terroirs of the Marne.

Strongly anchored in tradition, such as the use of barrels for the grand crus, Billecart-Salmon age their bottles in an extended network of caves cut out of the chalk hills, dating from the 17th and 19th century. The constant temperature – around 12°, enables a very fine effervescence to develop.

The Billicart-Salmon Brut Reserve offers a robe of gleaming straw yellow enhanced by the finesse of its gently rising bubbles and its persistent mousse.

The nose reveals good maturity coupled with a flowery freshness, and aromas of pear and blackberry.

The attack is frank and mouth filling, followed by freshness and a richness endowed by an ageing in traditional cellars.

              Description

The Deutz Brut Classic is the very soul of the Deutz champagne house. Born of a blend of several years’ grape harvests, every year a variable proportion of reserve wine (between 20 and 40%) is incorporated to ensure the regularity, complexity and individuality of the Deutz style. It’s composed of one third Pinot Noir, one third Chardonnay and one third Pinot Meunier, and derives its harmony from the quality of the grapes (97% on the scale of growths), and careful parcel selection (between 20 and 30 all from the Marne area).

Deutz Brut Classic is brilliant gold in color with fine bubbles. With an expressive nose, it opens with floral notes (hawthorn, white blossom) developing toasted notes with almond paste and very ripe fruits (apple, pear).

The palate of the Deutz Brut Classic is elegant, with the brightness of the Chardonnay combining with the velvetiness of the Pinot to offer a silky texture and harmonious aromas finishing with persistent fruit notes.

                    Description

Domaine Egly-Ouriet Champagne is sensual and unforgettable, a necessary experience for those who crave the power and finesse of Pinot Noir-based wines. What you’ll find at this family “grower” house is truly vinous Champagne, wines striking in their concentration and complexity. Winemaker Francis Egly’s practice of harvesting very ripe grapes and aging his wines in barrel for years are some of the technical decisions that set his art apart from the rest; yet it is the results that captivate. Egly- Ouriet Champagne is age-worthy, sumptuous and at times surreal; these wines are unquestionably the pinnacle of Pinot Noir-based Champagne.

Pol Roger Réserve NV has long been recognisable of the distinctive white foil closure, hence it is commonly referred to simply as 'White Foil'. A blend of all three grape varieties from thirty still base wines, White Foil is an often an assemblage of three or four different vintages. The Pinot Noir contributes body, depth of character and life-extending tannins and comes from the villages of the Montagne de Reims; the Chardonnay provides the lightness, elegance and finesse and is drawn from Épernay itself and the villages of the Côte des Blancs; and the Pinot Meunier supplies youthful freshness, vigour and plump character with the grapes coming from the Vallée d'Epernay. The bottle code indicates packaging date: the first digit denotes the year and the next three digits the day of that year.

                                      Description

The Brut from Delamotte is an atypical champagne which breaks the mould of non-vintage brut champagne, which is too often stereotyped.

The Delamotte Brut offers a measured balance between intense fruit and lively minerality.

The refreshing lightness is due to the majority of Chardonnay in the blend, with structure and fruit brought by the Pinot Noir and density by the Pinot Meunier.

36 months cellar ageing adds supplementary smoothness and maturity.

The nose offers lovely bready and fruity aromas, with white fleshed fruits, pear and a touch of ginger in the mouth.

It is a champagne which is absolutely perfect for aperitif.

                                                        Description

The Brut Réserve de L'Hommée is a triumph of balance and precision.

L'Hommée is an ancient agricultural measurement equivalent to the surface of vines that a man could work in one day, roughly 3,33a (333m2).

The cuvée Réserve de l'Hommée has been created exclusively from terroirs which were once measured in this way.

It is a blend of 33% Pinot Meunier, 33% Pinot Noir and 33% Chardonnay from the Premier Cru terroirs of Vrigny and Pargny which has been aged on lees in oak barrels for 7 months.

After undergoing malolactic fermentation it is dosed at 6g/L and then enjoys a period of 5 years maturing in the Roger Coulon cellars before being presented.

The most extrovert and seductive expression of the House style, Rosé Impérial is a Pinot Noir- and Pinot Meunier-dominant blend of over two hundred crus. The final assemblage contains 25% reserve wines and 8% red wine made using thermo-vinifcation; a method that gives colour and fruitiness to the wine.

Tasting Note: On the nose, this vivid pink champagne displays a fruity bouquet of red berries and cherries. On the palate, an initial sweetness of berries lends itself to a freshness of fruits. The finish is long with more red fruit flavour and hints of pink grapefruit. A very vinous rosé with a fruit-forward style.

In the culmination of a process which over the years has led us to reduce the quantity of sulphites in our Champagnes, no sulphur is added to this cuvée during the different stages of vinification, allowing the Pinot Noir to express itself in perfect freedom. Without dosage but even so exhibiting a remarkable roundness thanks to the maturity of the fruit and the time spent down in our cellars, this cuvée evokes lovely apples and Williams pear, with a hint of citrus fruits.

« In fact it was the champagne that we used to drink amongst ourselves in the evening after a hard day’s work in the vines or the cellar » explains Michel Drappier, « I would never have thought of commercializing it, but one day a visiting sommelier tried a bottle and loved it immediately. That’s how it all started ! »

Brilliant in aspect, it’s lightly coppery glints are enhanced by fine and lively bubbles.

It’s a powerful champagne of character, supple and well-balanced, with no complexes about asserting its high spirited, harmonious personality.

The Gosset Grande Réserve boasts a light golden robe, enhanced by a fine chain of light-as-air bubbles.

The nose is intense and complex revealing a symphony of flowers (daffodil, lime blossom) and fruits (cherry, blackberry) against a background of roasted notes.

The palate is full, vinous, concentrated, with aromas of dried fig and cherry jam quickly followed by grilled almond and crispy bread. The final is long and imposing.

The percentage of Louis Roederer reserve wines (matured in oak casks for two to ten years) included in Brut Premier varies, but can be up to a third of the final blend. Brut Premier is matured for three years in the cellar and rested for six months after disgorgement to perfect maturity. As a consequence of its complex blend of eight different vintages, Brut Premier is the embodiment of the Louis Roederer style, merging all the fruitiness and freshness of youth with the vinosity of a fully mature wine.
